Bob Millet is Coordinator of the Office of Religious Outreach and Professor Emeritus of Religious Education at Brigham Young University. After joining the BYU faculty in 1983, he served as chair of the department of Ancient Scripture, dean of the College of Religious Education, and Richard L. Evans Professor of Religious Understanding. He is the author or editor of over 70 books and 200 articles and book chapters dealing mostly with the doctrine and history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its relationship to other faiths. Some of his books include A Different Jesus? The Christ of the Latter-day Saints; Claiming Christ: A Mormon/Evangelical Debate, co-authored with Professor Gerald R. McDermott of the Beeson Divinity School; Bridging the Divide: The Continuing Conversation Between a Mormon and an Evangelical, co-authored with Pastor Gregory Johnson, President of Standing Together Ministries; and Talking Doctrine: Mormons and Evangelicals in Conversation, co-edited with Professor Richard J. Mouw of Fuller Theological Seminary. He is also the co-author of the encyclopedic work, LDS Beliefs. He and his wife Shauna have six children and twelve grandchildren and reside in Orem, Utah.

Dr. Larycia Hawkins — Suspended Wheaton College Professor
Evangelical debate has been fired up recently about whether the hijab-wearing Wheaton College professor, Dr. Larycia Hawkins, broke the Evangelical rules by saying that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. This debacle makes us wonder – Who is included in the evangelical Christian tent, and who decides who gets kicked out? This dispute is pitting Jesus lover against Christian at the alma mater of evangelist Billy Graham. Some Alumni suggested that this issue might be the writing on the wall for the conservative Wheaton College.
BREAKING NEWS: Wheaton College (Evangelical Harvard) has just unanimously recommended that the administration withdraw their efforts to get rid of Dr. Larycia Hawkins. About a month ago, Dr. Hawkins expressed on her Facebook page, a solidarity with Muslims by stating that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. HOLY SHIITE!

Dr. John C. Wathey — Author Of The Illusion of God’s Presence:The Biological Origins of Spiritual Longing
An essential feature of religious experience across many cultures is the intuitive feeling of God’s presence. More than any rituals or doctrines, it is this experience that anchors religious faith, yet it has been largely ignored in the scientific literature on religion. Starting with a vivid narrative account of the life-threatening hike that triggered his own mystical experience, biologist John Wathey takes the reader on a scientific journey to find the sources of religious feeling and the illusion of God's presence. His book delves into the biological origins of this compelling feeling, attributing it to innate neural circuitry that evolved to promote the mother-child bond. Dr. Wathey, a veteran neuroscientist, argues that evolution has programmed the infant brain to expect the presence of a loving being who responds to the child’s needs. As the infant grows into adulthood, this innate feeling is eventually transferred to the realm of religion, where it is reactivated through the symbols, imagery, and rituals of worship. The author interprets our various conceptions of God in biological terms as illusory supernormal stimuli that fill an emotional and cognitive vacuum left over from infancy. *John C. Wathey is a computational biologist whose research interests include evolutionary algorithms, protein folding, and the biology of nervous systems. From 1991 to 1995, he was a senior applications scientist at Biosym Technologies (now named Biovia), a company that develops molecular modeling software for the pharmaceutical industry. In 1996, he founded his own business, Wathey Research, and since that time, most of his scientific research has been funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health.
