Deanna Johnston — International Recording ArtistDeanna Johnston's raw soul first emerged out of a snowy farm right here in Ontario, Canada, where she grew up. Deanna has become to the Nashville music scene what Janis Joplin was to San Francisco in the late 60s; a poignant reminder of a woman born to perform, who lives the autobiography of her life each night on stage. Her vocal style has no parallels. Pure and powerful, subtle in its beauty and rich in character, bringing a soul-blues, down home flavour to her original music. A singer with a voice both contemporary and classic at the same time, Deanna's music inspires and truly stirs the soul with each note and every emotional high and low of life she shares with those who listen to her. She gained worldwide notoriety for her stunning performances on CBS's hit TV show RockStar:INXS as well as NBC's The Singing Bee. She has shared the stage with talents such as Kelly Clarkson, Chaka Khan, John Rich & performed for Oprah Winfrey.

Brian Mackert — Author of Illegitimate: How a Loving God Rescued a Son of PolygamyImagine being part of a family that has one father, four mothers and 30 siblings, being forced to call your mother "Aunt" in public to avoid people finding out the truth about your family, and fear of your father being arrested, knowing your sisters are being molested by your father and your anger building until your only thought is to murder him. As the 28th child of a father in a polygamous family, Brian knew first-hand what it meant to grow up in fear that others would discover your family was different and living outside of the law. Brian's family belonged to the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS), the largest polygamist cult in the United States. This is the same FLDS splinter group led by Warren Jeffs that recently made headlines when its Texas compound was raided and children were taken from their families due to suspected abuse.

This week on the Counsel Of Many: a man wants to know if anyone else thinks that the "end-times" is upon us?
"With the current global economic crisis and with it, the inevitable potential for a one-world currency, combined with global warming, various military conflicts, genocides, Mad Cow disease, Avian Flu epidemic, and the recent unprecedented number of hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, well it’s got me thinking. I’m not an end-times crony but I just wanted to ask the question, does anyone else think that all this stuff means that Jesus will be coming back soon? Like, within the next 10 years soon?"
