Clint Malarchuk — NHL Goalie, Author of The Crazy Game: How I Survived In The Crease & BeyondNo job in the world of sports is as intimidating, exhilarating and as stress-ridden as that of a hockey goaltender. Standing in the crease facing one-hundred-mile-an-hour slapshots, the entire game riding on your glove hand, standing on your head when necessary - all job requirements for those wanting to be the best goalies in the world. Now imagine doing that job while suffering high anxiety, depression and obsessive compulsive disorder, and having your career nearly literally cut short by a skate across your neck. The Crazy Game takes you deep into the troubled mind of Clint Malarchuk, the former NHL goaltender for the Quebec Nordiques, Washington Capitals and Buffalo Sabres. Even as a boy, Malarchuk faced such deep anxiety that he missed school and acted out at school and with his friends. His OCD changed the way he trained, and he was almost always the last player off the ice. When his throat was slashed during a collision in the crease, Malarchuk nearly died on the ice. Forever changed, he struggled deeply with depression and a dependence on alcohol, which nearly cost him his life and left a bullet in his head.

LIVE! on TDMS - Devoted Souly to the Art of Music
This Week's Recording Artist — Mr. BennettHe's back! If Bob Dylan & Tom Waits had a baby, then gave it to Leonard Cohen to raise – you'd have this guy! Get ready for some cynical wisdom and sociological observations. Mr. Bennett has spent the better part of his half century wandering and performing, including 18 years in the UK. He has supported acts like The Fall, Ron Sexsmith, Jonathan Richman, and has played a lingerie shop, The London Palladium, Camden Town and an Alabama house party for Satanists. When he wasn’t performing, he was fueling buses, test driving cars, selling cheese, being a butcher, a barista, barman, and a roadie for several rock bands including Bloc Party … “they were great, Wembley Stadium was a big show but I met Eddie Izzard in the loo and that was better”.

TOPICJian Ghomeshi or Bill Cosby - which one is worser? (Real word!) Does the sheer number of victims automatically presume guilt, or is there a chance that these women are simply jumping on an attention seeking/social issue bandwagon? And in the Ghomeshi case, how will the courts be able to determine when “too far” became “too far” if it's a “he said – she said” thing? At this point do we simply apply Occam's Razor? What are the peripheral issues that have spun out of these cases?
