    This week on the Counsel Of Many: Sam from Europe took a lot of heat for defending the transgender pastor at his/her church. If your Pastor had a sex change, how would you react?

    “My pastor is transgender. The first thing that comes to peoples mind when they hear the situation is Exodus 22: "A woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment." That's not the case here, however. Our highly liked pastor tells that he has born into the wrong body. Seriously. There are people who are born with both genitals and those that are born with the wrong genitals. My pastor has been that way since he was a little kid. He always wanted to dress up as a girl but his parents smothered his "silly" games. He needed to be a real man. When he went to bible college he really tried to be a man. Later in his fifties he realized that he cannot live a lie and basically became a she. She is the most loving, caring and devoted pastor that I've ever met and I've gone through hard times to understand that this is actually okay. In a fallen world everyone doesn't get a good start. I believe that my pastor can really be a light to those who are different and still sincerely want to follow Christ. When he announced his intentions and the fact that our senior pastor isn't going to fire him, 50 people left our church. Lately, I've been having a personal problem. No one outside our church really understands me supporting her. Last month I visibly stood up to defend her in an argument within my family and became judged as a liberal jerk and a big sinner. What should I do? Should I stand up to defend what I believe to be right? Does anyone agree with me or am I alone? (Sorry for my bad English. I'm not a native speaker.)”

    Calls for the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI have become louder as information is being uncovered that he simply transferred a pedophile priest out of his former diocese rather than having him arrested. Apparently, Cardinal Ratzinger was also responsible for policy and doctrine which warned that there would be serious consequences for those that reported claims of sexual abuse and that talking to the legal authorities was forbidden. Is this the Pope you worship?
