Special Guests

  • Suze Yalof Schwartz — Founder & CEO of Unplug Meditation
Before becoming a spiritual entrepreneur, Suze enjoyed decades as a fashion editor, director and stylist. The New York Times touted her as the “fairy godmother of makeovers”. She has worked at Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire and Glamour. She was a regular on The Today Show, Good Morning America, CBS Early Show and The View and made appearances on Oprah and CNN. Suze had an aha moment in late 2012 when she wanted to learn how to meditate and couldn’t find a place that fit her schedule, budget or aesthetic. So she decided to build it herself. After taking dozens of meditation classes, devouring lots of podcasts, books and Web sites and collaborating with Maha Yoga’s Steve Ross and MBSR teachers Stefanie Goldstein Ph.D. and Nicholas Bruss she came up with a program that works for the hurried, modern American. Suze's teaching approach is minimalistic and filled with easy tips for a meditation practice on the go.

  • Spanky Taylor — Ex-Scientologist, Former Liaison to John Travolta
Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief, is a 2015 documentary film about Scientology. It's based on Lawrence Wright's book Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood and the Prison of Belief. During this exposé, eight former Scientologists are interviewed. Among them, Oscar-winning director - Paul Haggis; the church's former second-in-command - Mark Rathbun; the former head of the church's Office of Special Affairs - Mike Rinder; actor Jason Beghe; and former liaison to John Travolta - Spanky Taylor. Spanky became interested in Scientology when she was in her early teens, because of the guys she met in the band – People! By 15, she was working on staff at Scientology’s Santa Clara mission, and then a few years later she signed a billion-year contract to join the Sea Org. Spanky doesn't give many interviews but today she's agreed to share her journey into & out of Scientology and how they pursue and recruit celebrities.

    TOPICS
1/ Only one topic this week – Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner
From Olympic gold medalist, Wheaties eatin man to Vanity Fair cover model with almost 2.5 million Twitter followers – what does this all mean?

“These people have a very serious problem, and they need treatment. They need help, not encouragement.”
    ~ Rush Limbaugh

“Now I wish that someone told me that when I was in high school that I could have felt like a woman when it came time to take showers in PE. I’m pretty sure that I would have found my feminine side and said, ‘Coach, I think I’d rather shower with the girls today.’”
~ Mike Huckabee - Next President Of The United States?

“If you want one snapshot of just how corrupt, how morally corrupt, how morally bent, how morally twisted, how morally confused, how morally bankrupt we have become, all you’ve got to do is take a look at the cover of Vanity Fair magazine. My heart, frankly, goes out to Bruce Jenner. I’m not going to call him Caitlyn Jenner because that’s not his name and I’m not going to refer to him as a she. He’s a he. He’s a he in every single solitary cell of his body, he will be until the day that God calls him home. So he’s a male in every single cell of his body, so he’s always going to be a he in the terminology that I’m going to use. I’m never going to refer to him as a she because that would be a lie.”
    ~ Bryan Fischer, Radio Host

“I loved Bruce and I still love Bruce, and I'm going to learn to love Caitlyn.”
~ Kathie Lee Gifford, Television Personality
