Jacob Moon
Jacob Moon is known for his giftedness as a singer, songwriter of award-winning pop and folk songs. He is also a master of the art of ‘live looping’, a performance style where he records what he’s playing in real time and layers sound on sound to make one guitar sound like an orchestra. He has received accolades from Rush, Ron Sexsmith and Queen for his unique and compelling live show. His latest album, entitled FASCINATION is a collection of covers (and 2 new originals) by artists like Marillion, Rush, Yes, Peter Gabriel, Radiohead, Tom Waits and Keane. The record is a labor of love and pays tribute to the music that influenced Jacob growing up and the music that is filling his head today. Infused with a bold rock sound and yet making eclectic forays into folk, funk and pop, this is one album that has something for everyone.
*Jacob Moon will be performing at The Oakville Centre For The Performing Arts on Friday March 28 at 8:30pm.

Rachel Hernandez — You Can Wear High Heels Drink Wine And Love Jesus
The following blog posts, might give you some insight as to why we HAD to have Rachel as a God Blogger:
-Shut your mouth when you're talking to Me: ADD in the brain. Wanting to save the world while getting botox.
-High Anxiety: The time I made an airplane turn around because I thought I was dying. All about anxiety attacks/hypochondria.
-Me and the Gang: Me trying to sell Jesus to gang members.
-The Rusty Nail: The time I partied with an 84yr old from a nursing home and got him drunk. I was a volunteer.
-How to Lose Friends and Alienate People: How Dale Carnegie is full of crap and his "How to Win Friends and Influence people" method doesn't work.
-The drunk man's paper bag: Mom's hate carrying wine out of a liquor store with the dreaded "drunk man's paper bag." It's like the badge of shame.
-Give me today my daily med?: Antidepressants.
-"Are you there God it's me, not Margaret": Feeling like God can't hear me.
-Legally Brunette: I thought God was calling me to go to seminary. He wasn't.

TOPICS:
1/ Since 1982 only 14 Oscar winners thanked God, beating out management, children, father, mother, spouse & The Academy, every year. In contrast, it seems like the Grammy Awards are FILLED with thanks to God. Why? What's the difference?
2/ N.A.S.A. has just announced this week that they have discovered 715 new planets outside our solar system. These discoveries came from looking at just 305 stars. Four of these new planets are located in “habitable zones”, meaning they are the right distance from their sun to be able to sustain life. With that in mind, do you think that there are lifeforms outside of Earth? And if so, how does that fit into our planet's historical theology?
3/ It's being reported that 34 year old Stephen Furtick's mega-church, Elevation, has been manipulating their so called “spontaneous” baptism services. The mass baptisms play a major role in this church being one of the top 100 fastest growing churches. However, some are calling the whole thing “spiritual manipulation”. A guide posted on a webpage for Furtick’s book says that, “Fifteen people will sit in the worship experience and be the first ones to move when Pastor gives the call. Move intentionally through the highest visibility areas and the longest walk”. Does this bother you or do you just write it off as mega-church crowd management strategy?
