Special Guests

  • Jeremy Taggart — Drummer for Our Lady Peace
When Drew was on CBC’s Test The Nation, he sat beside a pretty nice guy named Jeremy. He found out through the course of the show that Jeremy was in a band and that both he and Drew had gotten on TTN the same way – Strombo made it so! Jeremy said he’d love to come on our show someday. Well, today’s the day! We have no idea what Jeremy believes in, all we know is that Jeremy was on the Believers Team with Drew and that he believes in something! By the way, Sony artists “OLP” have sold over five million albums, won four Juno Awards, and ten MuchMusic Video Awards — the most MMVAs ever awarded to any artist or group! (Drew didn’t know that…)

  • Gayle Haggard — Author of Why I Stayed
Last week on Oprah, former evangelical superstar Ted Haggard and his wife Gayle, were talking about why Gayle decided to stay with her husband after it was exposed that he’d been taking drugs and hiring the services of a male prostitute. Oprah seemed to have a tough time buying into Gayle’s forgiveness and pretty much accused her of being naïve! Well this Saturday Gayle Haggard is on OUR show.

  • Kerri Pomarolli — Comedian, Actress, Author
That's right folks! It's time for our semi-regular visit with our favourite (and only) Hollywood Correspondent!

Need Help or Advice On An Issue In Your Life?
Tell us your situation and Drew will ask the listeners of TDMS!

This week on the Counsel Of Many: a mother of two teenagers is really worried about her kid’s spiritual lives and wants advice on how to get them interested and engaged.

“I am a mother of two teenagers. Both of them seem to be very disinterested in their spiritual lives. Neither of them read the Bible. They say it’s boring and hard to understand. Neither of them go to any youth events at our church let alone the youth group. They are past the age of us “taking them” to church, nor do we want to force it upon them. My husband and I have no idea how to help them grow spiritually and we feel so helpless watching them make poor choices. I know, I know… all we can do is pray for them. C’mon… there’s got to be something we can do other than pray. Are there any parents out there who can give us some practical tips & advice? What have you done to get your kids interested in their faith and growing spiritually?”

  • Do you think it was a wise move for Focus On The Family to spend millions on a 30-second anti abortion Super Bowl ad?
Thirty-second commercials during the Super Bowl are selling for $2.5 million to $2.8 million. According to CBS news, Gary Schneeberger, a spokesman for Focus on the Family, said funds for the ad were donated by a few "very generous friends" and did not come from the ministry’s general fund. So knowing that general funds weren’t used for this bold ad campaign, do you think this was a good use of donations for a Christian ministry? Or should that money have been spent on better things – like Haiti?

  • TDMS Banter
The beginning and the end of the show is like any good sandwich. The stuff in the middle is what it's all about - The rest is just crust! Sometimes it's worth listening to. Sometimes - not so much.
