DREW’S PILGRIMAGE PREPARATION!

The Camino De Santiago
This October 2016 (right after his 1st grandchild is born) Drew will be heading out on The Camino De Santiago. For well over a thousand years, millions of pilgrims have walked The Way of St James - the most popular route being almost 800KM's. (Beginning in France, over the Pyrenees Mountains, across Northern Spain to the Atlantic) And just to make things interesting, Drew will be doing the entire trail in a vow of silence. Along The Way he’ll be writing about his experiences interacting with other pilgrims, without being able to speak, and posting on The Drew Marshall Show Facebook Page. The plan is to finish the Camino on his 50th birthday on November 30th. Every Saturday in July (the last month of Season 13) Drew will be interviewing a variety of “Camino Gurus” in order to prepare for his upcoming “bucket list” experience.

Best of Journey Replay
Without question, TDMS Journey segments have been the most popular with our listeners over the last 13 years. Throughout the last month of Season 13, Drew will replay some of the most powerful personal stories of overcomers you will ever hear.
THIS WEEK: Michelle Stewart & Linda Masson - 2 Mothers 2 Daughters 1 Disease
(Originally Aired November 10, 2012)
Not too long ago, Michelle Stewart got the news that her 15-year old daughter, Emma Grace, has Leukemia. Michelle did this interview from Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. During her time there, Michelle met Linda Masson, the mother of 12 year old Mackenzie, who had the same type of Leukemia as Emma. After a courageous 18 month battle, Mackenzie passed away just a few weeks prior to this interview. Today, both mothers graciously agreed to share their own journeys through one of life's seemingly unnatural injustices - helplessly watching their own child suffer beyond what any child should have to bear. *Emma Grace died six months after this interview with her mom. Michelle Stewart ended up being the one to comfort Drew during her funeral.
