  • Vincent Bugliosi — Prosecuted Charles Manson, Author of Helter Skelter: The True Story of the Manson Murders
Vincent Bugliosi received his law degree in 1964. In his career at the L.A. County District Attorney's office, he successfully prosecuted 105 out of 106 felony jury trials, including 21 murder convictions without a single loss. His most famous trial, the Charles Manson case, became the basis of his classic, Helter Skelter , the biggest selling true-crime book in publishing history. Two of Bugliosi's other books -- And the Sea Will Tell and Outrage -- also reached #1 on the New York Times hardcover bestseller list. No other American true-crime writer has ever had more than one book that achieved this ranking. Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy was a New York Times bestseller and has been heralded as "epic" and "a book for the ages". HBO, in association with Tom Hanks' PlayTone Productions, will be producing this as an eight-hour miniseries in 2013, the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination. Mr. Bugliosi also wrote Divinity of Doubt: The God Question, but today we'll only have time to talk about Manson & JFK.

  • Chuck Ealey — All Star, MVP & Grey Cup Winning CFL Quarterback
After completing an undefeated record in High School in Portsmouth Ohio, Chuck received a Football scholarship to University of Toledo. While getting his degree in Business Economics, Chuck, as Quarterback, led his UT Rockets to a record breaking 35—0 college record. He was 8th in the 1971 Heismann Trophy standings. Despite this record, Chuck was passed over by the NFL draft as Quarterback. Although offered other positions, Chuck remained committed to becoming a Professional Quarterback and chose to go to the CFL where the only thing that mattered was his ability - not his race! In 1972 he led the Hamilton Tigercats to a Grey Cup Championship, winning MVP as Quarterback. He also played for the Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and played in the CFL for 7 years. Following his athletic career, Chuck has become a successful and well respected manager within the financial services industry. Currently he is the Regional Director of Investors Group Financial Services in Mississauga Central. *Chuck will talk to us today about philanthropy! • Brant Hansen
Brant's post entitled Mr. Spock Goes To Church: How one christian copes with Asperger's Syndrome was recently featured on CNN's Belief Blog and has received quite the response! “I'm a pretty simple guy. I'm a nerd who loves God. I'm also a husband and dad, and a guy with many exciting passions. Toast. And stamps. And Monty Python. And libraries. And croutons, too. But those are probably in the toast family, if you think about it. I am the former president of the Illinois State Student Librarians Association, and I'm proud of it. I play guitar, write songs, surf ('poorly'), can do a spot-on Bono imitation, and love reading C.S. Lewis, G.K. Chesterton, and Timothy Keller.”
