  • Randy Stonehill — Christian Rock Pioneer
Forty years after the release of his first album (Born Twice 1971) Randy Stonehill has created an album of new songs that is both fresh and some are saying his best yet An astounding 23 albums later, which include hits like “King of Hearts”, “Shut De Do”, and “American Fast Food,” this pioneer of the Christian Rock Movement shows no signs of slowing down! Spirit Walk strings together songs that only a veteran like Randy could sing with such conviction, wit and playfulness. The story of Randy Stonehill coming to Los Angeles in 1970 to apply for the job of “rock star” but finding Jesus instead has been told and retold innumerable times. His friendship in the 70s with the Godfather of Christian Rock - Larry Norman, has been celebrated in tunes and liner notes and more recently examined in the documentary film Fallen Angel. Randy was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1985 for his duet with Amy Grant and in 1988 CCM Magazine acclaimed his 1976 album Welcome to Paradise as among the top three most influential albums in the contemporary Christian genre. Randy Stonehill has embarked on an acoustic World Tour with the release of Spirit Walk on September 20, 2011. He will be joined along the way with like-minded artists sharing the stage including Jodi King (7 cities in Ontario, Canada), Ralph Van Maren & Sharon Kips (6 cities in The Netherlands), and Casting Crowns (4 cities in Australia & New Zealand).

  • Tripp York — Author of The Devil Wears Nada
In this devilishly entertaining book, Tripp York takes it upon himself to find the Prince of Darkness. Provoked by a wager made in one of his religion classes, York explores whether in proving the existence of Satan, we might in turn prove the existence of God. Admitting the idea is not half-bad (and thus, conversely, only half-good), York enlists the aid of numerous ministers, theologians, spiritual warriors, pagans, shamanists, fortune tellers, and Satanists in his fiendish quest to determine the whereabouts of God's first fallen creature. Part memoir and part theological treatise, The Devil Wears Nada is a compelling and humorous account of the strange, bizarre, and (oftentimes) offensive things we think about God, the Devil, and everything in between.

  • The Counsel Of Many!
Need Help or Advice On An Issue In Your Life?
Tell us your situation and Drew will ask the listeners of TDMS!

This week on The Counsel Of Many: a single woman in her 30s is frustrated because she can’t find any “normal men” to date and is considering using the internet to find a husband but wants to know other people’s experience with online dating first.

"I KNOW I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE! I sooo never thought that I’d be an internet dater. And I’m not – YET. But that’s how desperate I am! Yes, I’m admitting it. I’M DESPERATE! I want to be in a relationship with a guy. I want to love someone and be loved by someone. And to be honest, admitting that in the Christian scene is taboo! People feel that I’m giving up on God, or that I’m not patient, and that all I need to do is trust God to drop Mr. Right in my lap! And I guess part of that is true, but WTF… I’m in my 30’s people!! And this is a HUGE desire of my heart. (Wait, where have I seen that before? Oh ya – THE BIBLE!) I have “delighted myself in the Lord” and I have prayed constantly for the right man to come along and he hasn’t… for over 15 years! But you know who HAS come along? You guessed it… SATAN! Or Tim or Andrew or Ryan or Brad or Stefan or whatever the heck is name is! Every single one of them I’ve met through the church(es) and every single one of them turned out to be a complete freakin nutcase! So I’m about ready to jump into a side of dating I never thought I’d have to resort to. Look out Lavalife – here I come! I think? I’m just not quite sure I really want to do this. So before I dive into what could potentially be the worst nightmare of my life, does anyone have any advice for me as to whether I should do the internet dating thing or not? Any success stories out there? Any nightmares? Anyone think that finding a man online is like an ungodly way to find love? At this point, I’m open to any advice. Any advice EXCEPT – “Oh my dear, just pray more and just wait more. God hears your prayers and he is faithful.” I get that God is faithful. My question is, how good is His hearing? (KIDDING!)"

  • TDMS Banter
The beginning and the end of the show is like any good sandwich. The stuff in the middle is what it's all about - The rest is just crust! Sometimes it's worth listening to. Sometimes - not so much.
